Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr and South African artiste Tyla are at the forefront of the African nominees for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), each receiving four nominations. The full list of nominees was announced by Paramount International Network.

Tyla’s nominations are for:

- Best New Artist
- Best Afrobeats
They are joined by other prominent African artistes such as Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, and Asake, who are also competing in various categories.
Leading the overall nominations is Taylor Swift, with seven nods.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 10, 2024, in Manchester, UK.
