Nigerian actors Ayoola Ayolola and O-T Fagbenle have recently joined the cast of an upcoming Haitian political crime thriller titled “Killing of a Nation.” Directed by Carlos Bolado and written by Jimena Gallardo, the film is set against the backdrop of political unrest in Haiti. It follows the story of an American lobbyist, Anderson Toussaint, who uncovers corrupt practices and power struggles within the President’s camp. The turmoil escalates with the assassination of President Jovenel Moise, plunging the country into deeper chaos.
Ayoola Ayolola, known for his roles in Nigerian productions like “Skinny Girl in Transit,” “Isoken,” “The Men’s Club,” and “Fifty: The Series,” gained recognition after winning Project Fame West Africa in 2012. He also recently starred in the American Christian series “Chosen.”
O-T Fagbenle, a British Nigerian actor, has been involved in various Hollywood projects including “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Presumed Innocent.”
“Killing of a Nation” features a diverse cast including AML Ameen, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Aïssa Maïga, Jairo Ordoñez, Grainger Hines, Grace Van Dien, alongside Ayolola and Fagbenle. The film has completed principal photography, although an official release date has not yet been announced.
