Ahead of his third album, *Lungu Boy*, Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has dropped a new single titled “Active,” featuring American rapper and producer Travis Scott. Released on August 7, the track combines Amapiano log drums with Dance elements, creating an energetic party anthem. Asake samples Adewale Ayuba’s chorus from “Raise The Roof,” his collaboration with Jazzman Olofin, adding a nostalgic touch.

The upcoming album *Lungu Boy* will feature collaborations with Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, and Ludmina. This release follows Asake’s 2024 singles “Only Me” and “Wave,” the latter featuring Central Cee.

In addition to the album, Asake is set to embark on the *Lungu Boy* tour, including performances at the O2 Arena and Madison Square Garden, making him only the fourth Nigerian artist to headline the latter. Asake has maintained a rapid rise in the music industry, with his debut album *Mr. Money With The Vibes* winning Album of the Year at the 2023 Headies Awards, and his second album *Work of Art* featuring the record-setting single “Lonely At The Top.”
