Nigerian superstars Asake, Rema, and Omah Lay are set to headline the Promise Land Festival from October 4 – 6, 2024. This festival highlights the global influence of Afrobeats as Nigerian artists continue to captivate international audiences with their live performances.
Rema is scheduled to perform on the second day of the festival alongside international acts Jorja Smith, Miguel, and Fiji. Meanwhile, Asake and Omah Lay will take the stage on the final day, performing alongside Busta Rhymes.
The festival’s lineup also includes a strong contingent of Nigerian talent, such as The Compozers, Sarz, Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, Tiwa Savage, Victony, Ruger, and BNXN. Additionally, other African artists like Black Sherif, King Promise, DBN Gogo, Major League DJz, Young Stunna, and Uncle Waffles will also be performing.
The prominence of Afrobeats stars in the lineup underscores the genre’s meteoric rise on the global stage, with Nigerian artists earning prestigious awards and performing at some of the world’s largest music festivals. In 2023, Afrobeats made a significant impact on the international music scene, leading to the creation of the Grammy Best African Music Performance category, with South African sensation Tyla being the first recipient.
