The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kano State chapter has confirmed its participation in the upcoming local government elections scheduled for October 24. Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, the chairman of the party, announced this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Kano.
APC TO ORGANIZE PRIMARIES FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION CANDIDATES
Abbas revealed that the APC will soon hold its primary elections to select candidates for the local government elections. He expressed optimism about the party’s prospects and assured that efforts were underway to mobilize supporters across all 44 Local Government Areas in the state.

The APC chairman emphasized Kano State’s historical significance as a stronghold of progressive politics and urged the state’s independent electoral commission to ensure a level playing field. He highlighted the party’s commitment to complying with all electoral laws to ensure a peaceful and fair election process. Abbas reiterated the party’s dedication to free and fair elections, calling for a smooth implementation of the electoral process for the October 24 local government elections.
