The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ondo has pledged to support Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s re-election in the upcoming governorship election on November 16.
NURTW State Chairman, Ademola Odudu, announced this commitment on Thursday at the union’s headquarters in Akure. He emphasized that the union’s endorsement is due to Aiyedatiwa’s achievements in improving road infrastructure and addressing the concerns of transport workers. Odudu urged all drivers in the state to continue their support for the governor.
“We have experienced the positive impact of Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s leadership in our sector. His administration has enhanced our road networks and ensured the safety and prosperity of our members. We believe that his continued leadership will bring even more development to Ondo State,” Odudu stated.
NURTW National Leader, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), praised Aiyedatiwa’s exceptional leadership and noted the strong backing from union members.
In response, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the union’s endorsement, acknowledging their crucial role in the state’s economy and transportation sector. He assured continued collaboration with the union to further develop the state’s infrastructure and improve the welfare of transport workers.
Aiyedatiwa also urged vigilance in maintaining peace and security across the state, emphasizing the importance of reporting any disruptions to authorities to preserve the current harmony in Ondo State.
