Super Eagles duo Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi have been spotted training with Kano Pillars as they prepare for the Matchday 5 fixture in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The players were seen at the former champions’ training ground on Thursday, gearing up for their upcoming home match against Sunshine Stars.

Kano Pillars confirmed the training session via their official X account, stating, “Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Nazir Laja, and the rest of the squad trained ahead of the NPFL 2024/25 Matchday 5 clash against Sunshine Stars this weekend.”

Musa previously played for the club during the 2009/10 season and made a return in 2021. The 31-year-old winger recently parted ways with Turkish side Sivasspor in February.

Abdullahi also has history with Kano Pillars, having been with the club in 2012. The right-back has been a free agent since January 2023.

While it remains unclear whether they have officially rejoined the team, both Super Eagles stars are eligible to join the squad as free agents, despite the closure of the NPFL summer transfer window.
