Chief Olusola Oke, a former aspirant in the April 20 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Ondo State, has expressed his support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the party’s candidate for the upcoming November 16 election, despite his previous grievances. During a meeting at his residence in Akure, Oke emphasized his decision not to challenge the primary results in court out of respect for the party and a desire to see APC retain power.

Oke highlighted the importance of party unity and urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to treat all party members, including those who did not support him in the primary, with fairness. He noted that alienating these members could jeopardize the party’s success in the election. Oke also reminded Aiyedatiwa of his promise to include deserving members in his government after winning the election.

In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised Oke for his maturity and commitment to the party, reaffirming that there are no divisions within the state APC and promising to treat all members equitably. He acknowledged the democratic nature of the primary process and the importance of collective party interests, expressing gratitude for Oke’s support and belief in his leadership.
