Africa Magic recently introduced its latest romantic comedy series, My Fairytale Wedding, featuring Nollywood A-listers Ramsey Nouah and Ini Edo, the latter of whom also serves as an executive producer. The exclusive screening took place at The Hall, V.I., Lagos, hosted by Bisola Aiyeola, and attracted a star-studded audience from the Nollywood scene.
Directed by Dimeji Ajibola, My Fairytale Wedding follows the enchanting journey of a young woman who, with the help of magic (referred to as Kayanmata), secures the attention of Lagos’s most eligible bachelor, all in hopes of finding true love. The film’s unique blend of romance and magic promises to resonate with audiences.
Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content & Channels, West Africa, at MultiChoice, emphasized that the series aligns with Africa Magic’s mission to tell relatable and engaging stories. “It’s been a year of weddings, and I’m particularly excited to announce the next big union to look forward to. My Fairytale Wedding offers a glimpse into a tale of love with a sprinkle of magic, but not in the way you expect. With an amazing cast, this is a show you cannot afford to miss,” she stated.
Guests at the private screening were treated to an immersive experience, enjoying a compilation of the first four episodes, which received a warm round of applause from attendees.
My Fairytale Wedding is set to premiere on October 20, 2024, at 8 PM on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Ch. 151, GOtv Ch. 8). The series boasts an ensemble cast that includes Kanayo O. Kanayo, Shaffy Bello, Ayo Mogaji, Tina Mba, Lilian Esoro, Daniel Etim, Mercy Eke, Carolyn Hutchings, and more.
