Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has pledged to uphold the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the ongoing chairmanship crisis within the party.
In a statement from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke emphasized that he is aligned solely with the party’s constitution.
He stated, “I stand by the Constitution of our great party which outlines the succession procedure in the event of an elected chairman’s exit. I also support the resolution of the PDP Governors’ Forum, of which I am an integral part.”
Adeleke highlighted the importance of adhering to the party’s constitution, asserting that this is essential for building a responsible political party during this critical time.
