The Abuja Industrial Park, under development by Zeberced Group, is set to create 40,000 jobs and significantly enhance Nigeria’s economy, according to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

During a site visit on Wednesday to the park, located in the Idu Industrial Zone, Wike expressed his enthusiasm about the project, describing it as unprecedented in Nigeria. The park, which will operate as a Free Zone, is expected to attract numerous businesses due to its stable power supply and infrastructure.

Wike praised the project’s scale and its potential impact, noting that it will not only create direct employment but also stimulate economic growth in the Idu District. He emphasized the government’s support for such investments and the importance of local production.

Zeberced Group’s Managing Director, Adil Kurt, highlighted that the park, covering 250 hectares and featuring 208 workshops, will support small and medium-scale industries. Production of various items like polypropylene pipes and insulation roofing sheets is already underway.

Wike assured continued support from the FCT Administration, including efforts to complete an expanded access road to the park. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and quality in production, which will drive both domestic and international demand.

The Minister called for further investments in local production and reassured that security measures will be in place to support the park’s operations.
