Abia Assembly Swears in PDP’s Aaron Uzodike as Aba North Lawmaker After 9-Month Delay

Emmanuel Emereuwa, Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially sworn in Aaron Uzodike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the representative for Aba North. The swearing-in follows a prolonged delay of nearly nine months, attributed to an alleged court injunction and controversy surrounding the Appeal Court’s decision. Uzodike, declared the winner over Destiny Akara Nwagwu of the Labour Party by the Appeal Court, faced delays despite holding a Certificate of Return from INEC. The assembly’s action has been met with jubilation among PDP supporters in Aba North and beyond.
