Rowland Dennis, the member representing Isiala Ngwa South constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, has visited Governor Alex Otti to pledge his support and loyalty after defecting to the Labour Party (LP). Dennis, who was suspended by his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for alleged anti-party activities, made the switch on Tuesday.
The defection has drawn condemnation from the PDP, Dennis’s former party. Following his defection, Dennis met with Governor Otti, and pictures of the meeting were shared by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha. However, details of the discussions between the two were not disclosed to the press.
