Aare Afe Babalola, founder of Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti, has been honored with the “Outstanding Achiever of All Time” award by the Ekiti-Kete Coalition in the United States. This prestigious recognition acknowledges his immense contributions to education, healthcare, law, agriculture, and humanitarian efforts.
Joe Olugbamila, President of the Ekiti-Kete Coalition, commended Babalola for his exceptional impact across various sectors, urging the Ekiti State House of Assembly to hold public hearings and develop policies that celebrate individuals who have significantly contributed to society.
In his acceptance speech, Babalola expressed gratitude for the recognition and encouraged others to contribute to the nation’s development. He stressed the importance of unity, urging Nigerians to love and celebrate one another to realize the country’s full potential.
Addressing rising fuel prices, Babalola called on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to end its monopoly and allow Dangote Refinery to sell fuel directly to the public at a lower rate, which would help reduce fuel costs for Nigerians.
