Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stated that he remains focused on his responsibilities despite the political crisis in Rivers State. During an inspection of various projects slated for commissioning by President Bola Tinubu to mark his one-year anniversary in office, Wike emphasized that his attention to duty has not wavered despite external distractions.
Addressing speculations about his level of focus amid the Rivers crisis, Wike reaffirmed his commitment to his role as FCT minister. He pointed to the ongoing projects in the FCT as evidence of his dedication, noting that these initiatives would not have been possible if he were truly distracted.
Wike highlighted the upcoming commissioning of projects in the FCT, which will span nine days and be presided over by President Tinubu, as a testament to the progress and development efforts in the region.
