Sunshine Queens head coach, Rafiu Oseni, has commended his team’s victory over Green Foot FC in the Round 32 games of the women’s President Federation Cup.

The Owena Whales defeated the non-league side 3-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday.

Suliyat Ajibade, Ajibade Taiwo and Bolaji Olamide scored the goals for Sunshine Queens.

Oseni believed that the team will improve as the competition progresses.

“I will continue to take my time to study the team, Sunshine Queens is a very good team, as soon as we get back to our base, we will work on some areas we are lacking, there is going to be better improvement before our next game,” the coach stated to the club’s media.

“I must confess, our opponent gave a good account of themselves, they are not pushover at all, we edged them through experience, hard work and grace of God.”

The remaining Round of 32 fixtures is scheduled to be played on Thursday across designated venues.
