Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has shared his thoughts on what it will take for his former club to win the UEFA Champions League this season. Speaking ahead of their Round of 16 clash with PSV in March, Henry emphasized that Arsenal’s chances of winning the prestigious tournament depend on having all their key players fit and available.

The Gunners have been plagued with injuries to important players, including Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli, which has affected their form this season. Henry, who led Arsenal to their first-ever Champions League final in 2006, acknowledged the difficulty of winning the competition, pointing out that even teams like Manchester City took a long time to secure the title.

Henry explained that winning the Champions League requires everything to fall into place: having all players fit, performing well on the day of crucial matches, and sometimes a bit of luck. He also highlighted that the tournament is incredibly challenging, with the same names, particularly Real Madrid, consistently appearing as winners in recent years.

Real Madrid, the defending champions, defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in last year’s final, continuing their dominant run in the competition. Henry’s advice to Arsenal is clear: they need to ensure their squad is in top condition to stand a real chance of lifting the trophy.
