Nigerian rapper Falz has addressed his ongoing defamation case against social media personality Very Dark Man (VDM), who alleged that he and his father, Femi Falana, played a role in helping Bobrisky evade money laundering charges. In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, Falz shared insights about his interaction with VDM following the release of the controversial video containing these claims.

Reflecting on the conversation, Falz noted that VDM was defensive right from the start. “I’m like, bro, try and listen. What are you instantly fighting about?” Falz recounted. He revealed that VDM dismissed his concerns, responding, “Shebi you’re a lawyer; go to court.”

Falz explained that while he could have pursued criminal charges for defamation, he opted for a different approach. “What you’ve posted is a load of bollocks, absolutely false, and I need you to take it down and offer an apology within a certain amount of time,” he stated, but VDM failed to comply with his request.

This case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the legal complexities surrounding defamation and the responsibilities of public figures in the digital age.
