A fire broke out on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track on Saturday, October 26, 2024, near the NEPA Station close to the Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State. Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, confirmed the incident, reporting that it occurred around 4:12 p.m.

Akosile assured the public that there were no casualties and that no trains were in service at the time. A team of emergency responders promptly controlled the fire, restoring safety to the area.
