The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon Agboola Ajayi, has assured residents that the upcoming governorship election on November 16 will not be rigged.
Ajayi made this statement during his campaign tour across the state, urging the populace to remain confident and not to fear any potential rigging that might deter them from exercising their voting rights. He emphasized that measures would be put in place to prevent any tampering with the election results.
“Nobody can rig this coming gubernatorial election as everything will be done to forestall such an action from anybody or group of persons,” Ajayi asserted. He encouraged citizens to come out in large numbers on election day to vote for the PDP and to remain vigilant in protecting their votes.
In addition to election integrity, Ajayi promised to construct a hinterland sea port at Ore by the end of his first term if elected, aiming to boost economic activities in the region. He vowed to transform the area into a modern city and a commercial hub.
Ajayi also reiterated his commitment to providing free medical care for the elderly and children, enhancing security, and ensuring infrastructure development and social welfare for the residents of Ondo State.
Addressing the gathering, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde described the upcoming election as a turning point for Ondo State. He highlighted the state’s abundant natural resources, stating they are sufficient to elevate the citizens from poverty to prosperity. Makinde urged the people to vote for Ajayi, calling him the right candidate capable of leading the Sunshine State toward a brighter future
