Prominent American rapper Lil Durk, born Durk Banks, has reportedly been arrested Thursday night in Florida and has since been charged with murder-for-hire. He is currently held without bond at Broward County Jail, awaiting transfer to U.S. Marshals, according to XXL Magazine.

The arrest follows the detention of five other suspects earlier in the day, all charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire. These charges stem from the 2022 killing of Saviay’a Robinson, who was the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo and was fatally shot in Los Angeles. Authorities have linked the incident to ongoing gang disputes.

Federal prosecutors have identified the additional suspects as Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston. They allege that the suspects sought retaliation against Rondo for his suspected involvement in the 2020 murder of Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta, as reported by WGN-TV.

Lil Durk’s arrest has sent shockwaves through the music industry, with fans and legal experts closely monitoring the situation for further developments. The investigation remains active as federal authorities continue to gather evidence in this high-profile case.
