The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command is actively investigating the alleged murder of Miss Priscilla Ocheme, reportedly by her boyfriend, Ekosuehi Elvis, also known as Richard, at his residence in Lugbe. The investigation comes in response to circulating social media publications expressing concerns that justice might not be served in this case.

In a statement, the police disclosed that Ekosuehi Elvis, a 30-year-old man from Oredo, Benin in Edo State, was invited for questioning on September 24, 2024. Preliminary investigations revealed that he and Priscilla met while attending Madonna University. Although they lost contact after he left the university, they rekindled their connection in 2019 when he came to the FCT for his National Youth Service.

The police noted that Elvis was a well-known family friend, frequently visiting Priscilla at her family home, and she would also visit him.

On September 22, 2024, Priscilla had a minor disagreement with her mother, prompting her to leave her family home in the Karu area and seek refuge at Ekosuehi’s residence. Later that evening, she left his home and was tragically involved in a fatal motorcycle accident at the Amala Moore junction in Pyakasa while on her way home.

The accident was witnessed by two laborers, Jerry Amos and Moses Bala, who were working nearby at a brick-producing factory. As the investigation continues, the police aim to ensure a thorough inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Priscilla’s death and address any public concerns regarding the integrity of the legal process.
