The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the tragic loss of five of its personnel in a road accident that occurred on the Jos–Akwanga road while they were en route to Abuja for a sporting event. The incident took place on the evening of October 22, 2024, and involved a collision with an oncoming truck near Hawan Kibo.
In a statement released by the Director of NAF Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the NAF expressed deep regret over the fatalities. The statement emphasized that the necessary administrative protocols have been initiated to support the bereaved families during this difficult time.
