Cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, spent Monday night at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) annexe in Alagbon, Lagos. According to reports, he was arrested by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) while attempting to flee the country through the Seme Border at 1:30 a.m.

There are indications that Bobrisky may remain in detention for an additional night to facilitate ongoing investigations related to his arrest. The FCID is expected to release a statement regarding his detention today.

Sources at the FCID confirmed his arrival, stating, “Yes, he was brought here last night by the NIS, where he spent the night. We are going to get a remand today.”

NIS spokesman Kenneth Udo acknowledged Bobrisky’s arrest, labeling him a “person of interest.” He explained that the NIS intercepted him during an attempt to exit the country, emphasizing their commitment to border security.

“The service wishes to inform the public that Okuneye is a person of interest due to recent issues of public concern. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action,” Udo stated.

He assured the public that the NIS would continue to carry out its responsibilities in a civil and professional manner.
