He recalled telling fellow musician 2Face about Portable while traveling to Delta State, saying, “I told him, ‘Have you heard that guy Portable? Zazu Zeh. That guy is just like me because I was a crazy guy.’” Timaya emphasized that while the current Gen Z audience may see him as ‘unproblematic,’ they might not fully appreciate the wild side of his early career.
