Nigeria’s Medical ART Centre, a leading fertility clinic and one of the first research-oriented IVF centers in West Africa, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management Systems. This recognition highlights the center’s commitment to quality management in fertility treatment services.
The certification was presented by Dr. Raymond Smith, Director General of IEMA Standard Ltd., during a ceremony in Lagos. He described the ISO certification as a significant achievement, noting that the certification process involved a thorough evaluation of the center’s compliance with international standards.
Smith explained, “The certification committee reviewed all reports from the auditors and approved the certification for Medical ART Centre. This rigorous process ensured that the organization meets the high standards set by the International Organisation for Standardization.”
Medical ART Centre is renowned for its dedication to research and innovation in assisted reproductive technology. Smith emphasized that maintaining the certification will involve annual surveillance audits to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards.
IEMA Standard Ltd. is accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council and the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Nigerian Accreditation Systems, further underscoring the credibility of the certification process.
