EDO STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL MEETING FOR APC TRANSITION COMMITTEE

Edo State’s Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Chris Nehikhare, has announced that the state government has received the names of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) transition committee. During a news conference held in Benin City on Thursday, Nehikhare revealed that an inaugural meeting is scheduled for Friday, October 18.

The transition committee comprises 24 members and is led by Mr. Joseph Eboigbe, the Secretary to the State Government of Edo. Meanwhile, the APC committee is chaired by Mr. Pius Odubu.

Nehikhare stated, “We have received the names of the APC Transition Committee members and are pleased to announce that the inaugural meeting is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18. The meeting will take place at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy.”

He emphasized that the primary objective of the transition committee is to facilitate a smooth handover of government. The commissioner expressed optimism about the collaboration among committee members to ensure a seamless transition process in the state.
