Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles striker, has publicly expressed his disappointment over the transportation arrangements made for the Nigerian team during their trip for the AFCON qualifiers against Libya. He shared a photograph of the bus provided by the Libyan Football Association on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which he referred to as the “Isakaba bus.”

After the team’s flight was diverted from Benghazi to Al Abaq, they faced significant delays, spending over 15 hours stranded at the airport awaiting assistance from Libyan officials. Boniface highlighted the unacceptable conditions of the bus, stating, “See Iskaba bus wey them bring come yesterday, Nobody enter ooo.” He further added, “See this dragon carry bus come after 16 hours. Come Dey video.”

The Nigerian contingent’s experience has been compounded by unsportsmanlike conduct from the Libyan side, following their 1-0 loss in the first leg held in Uyo. The team had to endure difficult conditions while waiting for a resolution, showcasing the challenges faced in international sports travel.
