FRSC CONFIRMS DEATH OF SENATOR AHMED MAKARFI’S SON IN AUTO CRASH ON KADUNA-KANO HIGHWAY

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of Faisal Makarfi, son of former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, in a tragic auto crash along the Kaduna-Kano highway on Saturday. The Kaduna State Sector Commander, Kabir Nadabo, confirmed the accident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

According to Nadabo, the accident occurred at Lambar Zango along the Zaria-Kaduna Highway at around 6:15 p.m. The crash involved a KIA vehicle traveling from Zaria to Kaduna, which somersaulted after its front right tire detached. Three men were in the vehicle, including Faisal, who was fatally injured.

Nadabo revealed that Faisal was transported to an undisclosed hospital in Kaduna by his father’s arrangements, where he was later pronounced dead. Two other individuals involved in the crash remain unconscious.

The burial of Faisal Makarfi is scheduled to take place at 10 a.m. today at the Sultan Bello Mosque, Unguwar Sarki, Kaduna.
