The Indigenous People of Niger Delta (IPND) in Diaspora have publicly voiced their strong support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s efforts to secure political stability and foster development in Rivers State. In a statement released by Comrade Alex J. Uwom, the Diaspora Coordinator of IPND, the group emphasized the strategic and economic importance of Rivers State within the Niger Delta region. They acknowledged the state’s role as a beacon of strength and guidance for neighboring states and expressed their vested interest in ensuring its continued progress.

Uwom stated that the failures of past administrations in Rivers State have led to negative consequences for the people, stressing that Governor Fubara has been entrusted with safeguarding the rights, dignity, and future of the populace. The IPND expressed hope that Rivers State would compete internationally, adhering to best practices in development.

The group reassured the governor of their unwavering support, as long as he remains focused on the development of the state. They also emphasized the need for unity among the diverse tribes, religions, and political groups within the state, while standing firm against any detractors seeking to disrupt the peace and progress.

Importantly, the IPND clarified that it does not seek financial support from political figures and warned against anyone falsely representing them for monetary gain. Their mission, they stated, is the self-determination and emancipation of the Niger Delta people from exploitation. The group further commended Governor Fubara’s development agenda, acknowledging the positive impact his leadership has on the broader Niger Delta region.

In conclusion, the IPND remains committed to advocating for justice, unity, and prosperity for all communities within the Niger Delta, fully backing Governor Fubara’s leadership.
