On Saturday, Nigerian and foreign students organized a protest outside the Nigerian High Commission in London, calling for President Bola Tinubu to reverse what they termed “anti-poor policies” and to drop charges against individuals arrested during the #EndBadGovernance protests.

The demonstration was led by the Fight for Socialism, a socialist student group, and featured a diverse group of demonstrators, both Black and White. Protesters carried placards with messages such as “Drop all charges and release protesters” and “Reverse all anti-poor policies.”

The protesters focused on two main demands: the release of detained activists and an end to policies that they believe negatively impact Nigeria’s poorest citizens.
