Voting has officially commenced in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State for the Local Government Council Elections. The process began at 8:30 AM at Unit 3, 025, Ward 4, NlMgbueto Community, Emohua Local Government.
Peaceful Voting Environment
As of the latest reports, the voting process is proceeding peacefully, with no police or other security operatives present at the polling station.
Omenihu Jackson, the Councillorship Candidate for the Action Peoples Party (APP), expressed his satisfaction with the electoral process after casting his vote at the unit. He stated, “The election has been peaceful. People are conducting themselves well, and the process is going on well.”
Confidence in the Election Process
Collins Amesi, the leader of the ward, also shared his observations, highlighting the peaceful nature of the election. He expressed confidence in the integrity of the process, stating that the absence of police does not compromise the election’s credibility. Amesi remarked, “You can see that the election is going on well without police. We commend RSIEC for conducting this peaceful process.”
