Wizkid recently hosted fans in London for an exclusive listening party of his highly anticipated single Piece of My Heart, featuring Brent Faiyaz. This London event follows a similar release party held in Paris, which was also attended by Faiyaz.
The sold-out event, tagged “for females only,” gave fans a preview of two additional tracks from Wizkid’s upcoming sixth album Morayo. The new songs feature energetic Afrobeats elements, generating excitement from the audience, especially after Wizkid had previously distanced himself from the genre.
Piece of My Heart officially marks the beginning of the Morayo era, with the album serving as a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, who passed away in 2023. The Nigerian star has described this project as his best work yet. His collaboration with Brent Faiyaz offers fans a glimpse of what to expect from the album.
For Brent Faiyaz, this is his second collaboration with a Nigerian artist, following his feature on Tems’ track Found from her EP If Orange Was A Place.
