NIGERIA FLAMINGOS COACH ANNOUNCES SQUAD FOR 2024 FIFA U-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

Nigeria’s Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, has revealed the 21-player squad that will represent the country at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic. The tournament is set to begin on October 16, with Nigeria facing New Zealand in the opening match.

The Flamingos are placed in Group A, where they will compete against the hosts, Dominican Republic, as well as Ecuador and New Zealand. Nigeria aims to build on their strong performance from the previous edition of the tournament, where they achieved a third-place finish in India in 2022. Alongside Nigeria, two other African teams, Kenya and Zambia, will also participate in the tournament.
