Uncover, a prominent Pan-African skincare brand, has launched the I Am Enough Licorice Root Dark Spot Serum, designed specifically to address the skincare needs of women with melanin-rich skin, particularly in combating hyperpigmentation. This product is the result of two years of research and development, informed by in-depth focus groups in Kenya and Nigeria, as well as the brand’s proprietary skin quiz, which identified dark spots as a prevalent issue.
Formulated with a potent combination of 2% Alpha Arbutin, 2% Tranexamic Acid, 2% Niacinamide, 1% Kojic Acid, and African Licorice Root, the serum targets melanin production, reduces inflammation, and exfoliates gently to promote an even skin tone. Clinical studies indicated that 96% of users experienced a reduction in dark spots within four weeks.
The launch aligns with Uncover’s “Glow in Your Confidence” campaign, which promotes self-acceptance and empowerment. Co-Founders Sneha Mehta and Jade Oyateru highlighted the brand’s commitment to understanding the needs of its customers and providing solutions that boost confidence.
