Two weeks after his arrest for sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping, American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been taken off suicide watch. According to Fox News Digital, as of September 29, 2024, the rapper, aged 54, is no longer under extra surveillance and is now able to receive visits from family members.

Combs was placed on routine suicide watch shortly after being admitted to a federal facility following his arrest on September 16, 2024. Prosecutors have accused him of operating a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, using drugs and violence to coerce women into fulfilling his alleged sexual desires.

Diddy’s legal team attempted to secure his release by filing a $50 million bail offer, using his mansion on Miami’s Star Island, valued at $48 million, as collateral, along with his mother’s property to cover the remaining amount. However, the court denied this request, citing him as a flight risk. Additionally, a plea for house arrest with a condition of “no female visitors” was also rejected by the judge.

If convicted on all charges, Diddy could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison. His arrest in Manhattan followed earlier raids on two of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, where authorities reportedly found 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15s. Combs will remain in custody until his trial begins.
