In collaboration with MultiChoice, The She Tank and BellaNaija are taking their groundbreaking gender equality campaign, “Her Money, Her Power,” to the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show. This initiative is designed as a landmark task for current housemates, aiming to spark a nationwide conversation about women’s economic power in Nigeria and challenge deeply entrenched societal norms.

On Monday, September 30, the housemates will engage in a series of specially crafted activities that highlight the importance of financial independence for women. These tasks are set to generate thought-provoking content and inspire public discourse, with participants competing for substantial cash prizes in both individual and group tasks.

Mary Edoro, Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy at BellaNaija, explained, “‘Her Money, Her Power’ goes beyond the BBNaija house. It encompasses a multifaceted approach that includes an ad video, digital content, influencer collaborations, and media engagement. By leveraging the extensive reach of the BBNaija reality show, we aim to influence mindsets and drive a positive shift in perceptions surrounding women’s economic power.”

The #HerMoneyHerPower initiative has already attracted significant attention, with NOIPolls partnering to monitor potential shifts in public opinion resulting from the campaign’s visibility. As the nation tunes in, “Her Money, Her Power” promises to be a pivotal moment in the ongoing fight for gender equality and the advancement of women in Nigeria
