Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, has died. The state government confirmed her passing in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Titled “Unexpected Sunset,” the statement revealed that the First Lady passed away in a hospital on September 26, 2024, following an illness.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. She passed away peacefully at the hospital in the presence of her family,” the statement said.
The family expressed their submission to the will of the Almighty and requested prayers and support from the community during this difficult time. They also asked for privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
