VERYDARKMAN EXPLAINS REFUSAL TO HONOUR EFCC INVITATION

Activist and social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has clarified why he will not respond to an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding alleged corruption among its officials.

In a recent video, VeryDarkMan played an audio recording purportedly from Bobrisky, in which the crossdresser claimed he was asked to pay N15 million to have a money laundering charge dismissed. Following this, the EFCC invited both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky to its Lagos office to assist in the investigation.

However, Otse stated he would not attend the invitation, citing his residence outside Lagos and uncertainty about his safety if he were to go. He suggested that the EFCC should instead invite them to its Abuja office.

In the video posted on X (formerly Twitter), he criticized the EFCC for not ensuring that Bobrisky was incarcerated properly, saying, “Before you invite someone like me, do a deep investigation on your officers first. When you get the results regarding your officers who handled Bobrisky’s case, then you can invite me.”

He further emphasized the illogic of being summoned to Lagos when the EFCC’s headquarters is in Abuja. Otse also expressed financial concerns, stating, “Lastly, why I would not go to Lagos is that I don’t have N15 million to pay for anything. I don’t have any godfather anywhere and I don’t want to be framed. I don’t trust you and I won’t go (to Lagos).”

Bobrisky has since denied making the claim about the alleged payment, labeling the audio as fake.
