Fasua highlighted that the PDP’s warning against ballot compromise and vote tampering necessitates investigation, suggesting it indicates a potential crisis. He called on security agencies to keep a close watch on what he termed the PDP’s “war-mongers.”

In response, Ayo Fadaka, Special Adviser to the Agboola Ajayi Campaign Organisation, refuted these allegations, asserting that the PDP is not inclined towards violence but will respond decisively to any rigging attempts.

Fadaka stressed that rigging constitutes a form of violence and is a direct insult to voters, urging the APC to adhere to electoral rules.

The PDP has criticized the APC for allegedly welcoming “serial election riggers” and expressed concerns regarding the misuse of state resources to create security issues. Conversely, the APC has accused the PDP of resorting to political desperation and renting crowds.

As the election nears, tensions between the two parties are mounting, with both sides exchanging accusations and warnings. This escalating situation emphasizes the importance of vigilance and peaceful conduct from all involved stakeholders.
