Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has shared his thoughts on Kylian Mbappé’s departure to Real Madrid, expressing regret over losing such an exceptional talent. Mbappé joined the Spanish giants on a free transfer this summer, leaving many in Paris heartbroken as he was regarded as the club’s most valuable asset.

During his time under Enrique at PSG, Mbappé helped secure the Ligue 1 title, showcasing his immense skill and potential. In a candid interview for Movistar’s new documentary, Enrique spoke highly of Mbappé, both as a player and a person: “In Kylian’s case, I met a wonderful player. A person of an exceptional personal level, which you rarely find when you arrive and see a player of that level. Human, affectionate, close.”

Despite occasional disagreements during their season together, Enrique maintained high praise for the 25-year-old, describing him as a “wonderful, talented player.” However, he lamented Mbappé’s choice to leave PSG for Madrid, particularly after he let his contract expire to facilitate the transfer. “What a pity he went to Madrid, especially for us at the time. But life is also part of the game. I hope everything goes well for him.”

Since joining Real Madrid, Mbappé has made a significant impact, scoring six goals in his first eight games of the season, continuing to prove why he is considered one of the top talents in world football.
