INDONESIA-AFRICA FORUM SEALS $3.5 BILLION IN BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS

At the recently concluded 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali, 32 business partnership deals worth over $3.5 billion were finalized. This announcement was made by the Director for African Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by the Nigerian-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI).

The event also saw the signing of 16 business agreements between Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and African companies. Nigeria’s delegation, led by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, represented President Bola Tinubu.

The Nigerian business delegation, led by NICCI President Ishmael Balogun, included members of the chamber and facilitated several memorandums of understanding (MoUs).

During the three-day forum, country-specific discussions on industry topics such as mining, agriculture, renewable energy, health, and food security were held, led by Indonesian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pahala Mansury.

Additionally, the forum hosted the 3rd edition of the Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF 2024), where Yomi Benson, CEO of Sahara Energy Singapore PTE Ltd, delivered the keynote address. Other prominent participants included executives from Oxytane International Ltd, Signature Global Real Estate, AfroKana Ltd, Seune Integrated Concepts Ltd, and Vutomi Energy (PTY) Ltd.
