Pst. Beloved-Dan Anike, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, has been declared the winner of the chairmanship election in Enugu East Council Area held on Saturday.
Dr. Nelson Ossai, the returning officer, announced on Sunday that Anike secured a total of 116,690 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Ozor of the Labour Party, who garnered 9,848 votes.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) finished third with 3,839 votes. Other results included the APP with 2,224 votes, AA with 2,072 votes, NNPP with 650 votes, Accord with 511 votes, and APM with 327 votes.
