A fire has engulfed Pinnacle Oil, a filling station owned by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State. Reports indicate that unknown arsonists set the station ablaze on Friday, arriving in a Toyota Corolla to carry out the act.

Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident. Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, confirmed that the fire has been extinguished. He stated, “A fire incident occurred at Pinnacle Filling Station on Agbani Road, Enugu, in the morning hours of today, September 20, 2024.”

Emergency services, including both federal and state fire departments, responded quickly to the situation. CP Uzuegbu added, “No lives were lost; however, three vehicles waiting to purchase fuel were damaged. Normalcy has since been restored by the police.”

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have resulted from fuel leakage from one of the vehicles at the station.
