Nigerian comedians AY and Basketmouth have reconciled after an 18-year feud. On Wednesday, the comedians posted a collaborative skit on Instagram to promote their upcoming movies.
In the video, Basketmouth is shown seeking advice from AY after a conversation with veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD). This marks their first collaboration since their falling out in 2006.
The longstanding dispute began when AY alleged that Basketmouth had not shared a fee from an event where AY stood in for him. Basketmouth, in response, chose not to address the issue directly and had expressed a desire to cut ties with AY.
Basketmouth’s new film, A Ghetto Love Story, is set to premiere on November 22, while AY’s movie, The Waiter, is scheduled for release on December 20.
