Multi-award-winning megastar Wizkid has unveiled his first single of 2024, following months of anticipation for his sixth album, Morayo. On September 17, 2024, Wizkid announced the release of a new song titled “Pieces Of My Heart,” featuring American R&B artist Brent Faiyaz. The track is set to drop on Friday, September 20, 2024.
This release comes during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Wizkid’s acclaimed sophomore album, Ayo, which features the iconic single “Ojuelegba.” Fans have been commemorating the album and its influence in promoting Nigerian music globally.
“Pieces Of My Heart” marks Wizkid’s first release of 2024, a year in which he has also appeared on the remix of DJ Tunez’s “Apala Disco” and Shenseea’s “Work Me Out.” The single is the lead offering from Morayo, Wizkid’s highly anticipated sixth album dedicated to his late mother, who passed away in 2023. The album has been described by Wizkid as his best work to date, with the upcoming collaboration providing a glimpse into the new project’s sound.
