The Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN), Lagos State Chapter, has announced a seven-day fasting and prayer session for Nigeria in response to the country’s current economic challenges.

Chairperson Stella Iseoma-Okoroafor stated that the session, part of WOWICAN’s 13th convention and 30th anniversary celebrations, will take place from September 16 to September 22 at the Apostolic Church LAWNNA Territorial Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos. The theme for the intercession is “Divine Intervention.”

Iseoma-Okoroafor emphasized the significant role of women in addressing societal challenges, drawing parallels with historical figures such as Esther, Naomi, and the Queen of Sheba, who interceded for their people in times of need. She urged women to unite in prayer to seek God’s guidance and improve the nation’s fortunes.

She also encouraged women to participate actively in governance, especially at the grassroots level, to ensure effective communication and nation-building. Iseoma-Okoroafor highlighted the importance of women’s roles in nurturing and molding future leaders, and their influence across various personal relationships.
