MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING NEIGHBOR AND SON IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended Vincent Upkpai for allegedly murdering his neighbor, Gloria, and her young son. The violent incident occurred on September 15, 2024, in the Elemoro area following a dispute over cleaning duties.

DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT:

According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Benjamin Hundeyin, the authorities received an emergency report at 10:50 p.m. on September 15, indicating that Vincent Upkpai had killed Gloria and her son during an argument. After the attack, Upkpai reportedly placed Gloria’s body in a large ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag.

INVESTIGATION AND RESPONSE:

Detectives from the Elemoro Division responded promptly, arresting Vincent and recovering the victims’ bodies. The corpses have been taken to Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the case, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to uncover the full details of the crime. Mr. Hundeyin expressed the police’s commitment to a thorough investigation and bringing justice to the victims.
