The Lagos State Police Command has detained a man (name withheld) for allegedly murdering his neighbor and her son over a dispute regarding environmental sanitation in the Lekki area. The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 10:50 p.m., according to Police Spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
Hundeyin reported that the suspect killed Gloria, his neighbor, and her son during an argument about cleaning the environment. Following the murders, the suspect allegedly placed the victims’ bodies in a large sack for disposal.
The crime was discovered after other neighbors alerted the Elemoro police division, leading to the suspect’s arrest and the recovery of the bodies. The deceased have been transported to the Epe General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
Police detectives are currently investigating the case to determine the exact method used to commit the crime and further details.
