PRESIDENT TINUBU ARRIVES IN MAIDUGURI TO CONDOLE OVER ALAU DAM FLOOD DISASTER

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri to express condolences to the government and people of Borno State following the Alau Dam flood disaster.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, President Tinubu landed around 3:15 pm and was greeted by Governor Babagana Zulum. His visit includes a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai El-Kaneni, and a subsequent visit to one of the camps to address displaced persons.

The flood on Monday submerged nearly half of Maiduguri city, causing significant loss of life and property. The Borno Government has established 36 camps to support the thousands of displaced individuals affected by the disaster.
